Carbon Live Event Rundown
As we approach the holiday season, communities are coming together to help those in need, and this year’s Carbon Live events were no exception.
Attendees gathered at bar One-0-Four, for a night of festive fun. It was a great night, full of competition and giving, with a Christmas Quiz and an Angel Tree Initiative project. There was a great turnout for the evening, with all tables full of excited teams and donations of over £450 for their chosen charities, Yellow Door and Rainbow Trust.
Hosted by a wonderful team of third years on Solent’s Fashion and Beauty Media Course, the evening ran smoothly, with all organisers willing to help and ensure all guests enjoyed themselves.
The night was partnered with Yellow Door and Rainbow Trust, charities who support individuals in unfortunate circumstances of domestic or sexual abuse. At the end of the evening, each attendee was able to go up and select a name from an Angel Tree, getting to choose up to three pre-paid gifts to give to them this year. This thoughtful activity was well received by all and helped bring awareness to the chosen charities. By accompanying the competitive evening with an opportunity for giving, meant everyone went home that evening feeling grateful and fulfilled.
Hosted at Fit4Her, a women’s only gym, this morning of Pilates partnered with Muse Coffee to help raise awareness and funds for CoppaFeel. To help inform the attendees on the early detection of breast cancer, the morning of physical and mental wellness was followed by an educational talk with a specialist from CoppaFeel.
With all the tickets selling out quickly, there was a full turnout for the event, maximising the fundraising efforts of the event! Many attendees have shared their praises for the morning, enjoying all the sweet treats and goodies they received. They were all in support of the cause and felt they came away more knowledgeable on women health and breast cancer.
The final event, Crafted Connections, is ongoing and we are looking forward to seeing its success.
Overall, the Carbon Live events have received overwhelmingly positive feedback and have all contributed to the festive season of giving, supporting great causes and organisations. All the hosts of the events have excelled and should be extremely pleased with the outcomes of their efforts and the funds they have raised.
