Homemade cocktails for New Years

Fancy something different to drink for New Years Eve? Why not try this list of easy-to-make, homemade cocktails that can be collectively enjoyed on this special evening with friends and family. Whatever your preference may be, there will be a recipe here that will suit your taste!

Mojito

Ingredients: juice of 1 lime, small handful of mint, 1 tsp granulated sugar, 60ml white rum, soda water

Method: Crush the mint, then add the lime juice and sugar into a glass. Pour in the rum and stir. Add the soda water to taste and crushed ice.

Sex on the beach

Ingredients: 50ml vodka, 25ml peach schnapps, 50ml orange juice, 50ml cranberry juice

Method: Fill two glasses with ice cubes. Combine the alcohol and fruit juices then stir, pour the mixture into the glasses and enjoy.

Cosmonaut

Ingredients: 2 tbsp raspberry jam, 50ml gin, 1 tbsp lemon juice

Method: Stir the jam until loose and place into a cocktail shaker. Add gin, lemon juice and ice then shake. Use a strainer whilst pouring the drink into a glass.

Pina Colada

Ingredients: 120ml pineapple juice, 60ml malibu, 60ml coconut cream

Method: Place all ingredients and ice into a blender for 20 seconds, pour and it is ready to drink.

Frozen strawberry margarita

Ingredients: 1 tsp sea salt flakes, 400g frozen strawberries, 120ml tequila, 75ml triple sec, 1 lime

Method: Sprinkle the sea salt onto a plate and wet the rim of the glass with water. Dip the the rim into the salt and twist until covered. Put all the other ingredients into a blender for 20 seconds, pour into the glass and serve.
