ITS NEVER TOO EARLY FOR CHRISTMAS
Bring down those storage boxes and grab your decorations; it is time for Christmas!
The rise of seasons
When Halloween and Christmas come around, there are always fewer and fewer decorations on the streets. However, these last two years we have seen the rise of decorations from people’s bedrooms to their office work desks. Although it’s colder and we see shops filled with gifts and tinsle, we will always hear the phrase, “It just doesn’t feel like Christmas,” so why not change this? Some experts say that constantly being around Christmas decorations will fill you with nostalgia from your childhood, releasing joy and excitement. So why not decorate? and maybe even bring them out earlier?
If you’ve kept updated on TikTok, then you would’ve seen videos and videos of people bringing Christmas to their homes earlier and earlier, but when walking through a shop filled with festive baubles and wreaths, you can’t help but put together a theme and explode it all over your home.
Although Christmas is all about receiving gifts from Santa and seeing friends and family, there’s also the aspect of releasing your inner creativity and producing your own winter wonderland. People focus on colour themes and story lines more than ever; with themes like a candy wonderland and a woodland tree, there is more excitement in older generations, making Christmas a bigger deal than ever. So if you haven’t got your tree up yet, get it up now!
The candy land
Although we saw this theme last year, the use of old sweets and hot chocolates on a white tree just adds to our nostalgia of Christmas fairs and treating ourselves all December long.
Woodland theme
Theres nothing cosier than warm lights and soft coloured baubles. The use of owls and rustic birds just brings the magic that you always seek in Christmas.
Cottage core
You can never not love a traditional Christmas tree, but lets add something new. Cottage Core is a remake of traditional, still carrying the dark red baubles and forest greens. But adding in the dark browns, neutral bows, and dried fruits. The mixture of childhood memories and glamour creates the perfect Christmas day feel.
